WorkFit Location-Based Services Terms

1. Purpose
These Terms govern the use of location-based services provided by WorkFit (“we”, “our”, or “the Platform”).
They define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between WorkFit and users regarding the collection and use of location information.
2. Scope of Location Services
WorkFit uses location information solely to support core service functionality, including:
- Matching candidates based on proximity
- Determining service eligibility (e.g., commute radius or lodging conditions)
- Providing location-aware recommendations
Location data is used as an input for matching logic, not as an independent service product.
3. Nature of Location Usage
Location data in WorkFit is strictly governed by the following principles:
3.1 Matching Input Only
Location data is used only as part of request-scoped matching input.
It is not used to:
- Track users continuously
- Build independent location profiles
- Infer behavior outside explicit user intent
3.2 Request-Scoped Usage
Location data is bound to a specific request context:
- Each request defines its own location scope
- Location is not implicitly inherited from profile data
3.3 Server-Side Authority
All location-based decisions are made server-side.
- Client-provided location data is validated
- Final eligibility is determined by system rules
4. Collection of Location Information
Location information may be collected through:
- User input (manual location selection)
- Device-based location (if permission is granted)
Users may choose not to provide precise location data, but certain features may be limited.
5. User Consent
Location-based services require explicit user consent.
Users have the right to:
- Grant or deny location access
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Request suspension of location processing
Upon withdrawal, related location data will be deleted or no longer used.
6. Use and Sharing of Location Data
WorkFit does not share location data with third parties without user consent.
Location data may be used internally only to:
- Perform matching calculations
- Generate recommendations
If location data must be shared with a third party:
- The purpose will be disclosed in advance
- Explicit consent will be obtained
7. Retention of Location Data
Location data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill its purpose.
- Request-scoped location data is deleted when the request lifecycle ends
- Certain logs may be retained for compliance with applicable laws
8. User Rights
Users may:
- Request access to their location data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of location data
- Withdraw consent at any time
Requests can be submitted through Platform support channels.
9. Service Limitations
WorkFit does not guarantee:
- Accuracy of location data
- Continuous availability of location-based services
Location services may be limited or unavailable due to:
- Network conditions
- Device specifications or limitations
- Third-party service provider constraints
10. Limitation of Liability
WorkFit is not responsible for damages caused by:
- Inaccurate location data
- Incorrect location information provided by users
- External service failures
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect:
- Changes in legal requirements
- Changes to the Service
Changes will be announced in advance where required.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
